I liked how this was more than just enemies to more。 The plot twist of this one definitely surprised me。 I liked, just like the previous book in this series, there are a couple of chapters in different points of view。 I hope western more of Brooklyn, Cormac and Quinn going forward

A great readA sweet, clean romance with an excellent cast, a beautiful setting and a heart warming story。 Brooklyn and Cormack somehow manage to put their differences aside while they work through old hurts to take in an orphan。

This is a very special, sweet story about reconciliation and the selfless actions of two wonderful people who band together in the worst time in a child’s life to make it more bearable。 You will love this book! I surely did! Get it today! 💖💖💖 。。。more

So sweetAnd surprising! Enemies to friends type of story, but with a good reason。 This seems to be only the beginning and i look forward to more in this series, because I know we will be seeing more from these characters! Loved it!

This is another “Miss Charlotte, the matchmaker” story。 Many of Jessie Gussman’s books take place in the same small town in which there is a quilting group known for their matchmaking。 Miss Charlotte is the ringleader。Everyone in town knows that Brooklyn and Cormac are meant to be together – except for themselves。 An incident in high school caused Brooklyn to form a long-lasting grudge against Cormac。 Since he has no idea what that incident was, he cannot apologize。 But since their every confron This is another “Miss Charlotte, the matchmaker” story。 Many of Jessie Gussman’s books take place in the same small town in which there is a quilting group known for their matchmaking。 Miss Charlotte is the ringleader。Everyone in town knows that Brooklyn and Cormac are meant to be together – except for themselves。 An incident in high school caused Brooklyn to form a long-lasting grudge against Cormac。 Since he has no idea what that incident was, he cannot apologize。 But since their every confrontation ends in an argument, they have both decided to just avoid the other – not an easy thing to do in a small town。An unexpected event (no spoilers) develops which forces them to work together in cooperation。 As they declare a truce, will they discover they have more in common than they ever thought?Very good biblical principles are displayed, such as forgiveness, God’s direction,I found this book to be inspiring and uplifting, as well as humorous。 I received a copy of this book from the author。 My review is voluntary and unbiased。 。。。more

A true to life situation forces two people with mistaken ideas of each other to find common ground for the sake of a child。 These characters show growth in their faith as they work towards meeting the needs of another and in doing so reconcile their differences finding true love。 Jessie Gussman develops the characters, showing their faith beliefs and trust in God。 A moving and enjoyable story!

And when the enmity between turns out to have been based on a misunderstanding, can they overcome the years of hatred and forge a life together that will give Quinn what she needs - and perhaps what they each do too?A heart-warming story of learning to do the right thing and watching God turn it into something better than they could have imagined possible。 Admittedly, I find the premise somewhat odd (I can't imagine choosing to leave your child to be cared for by two unmarried people rather than a married couple), it was delightful to watch Cormac and Brooklyn each stepping up to the mark and doing the right thing, including with the right attitude。 An inspiring addition to the series - which is probably best read as a series because of the background character and story arcs being developed, though each story is a standalone romance。 Recommended。Note that I received a complimentary copy of the book from the author。 I was not required to write a positive review and this is my considered opinion of the book。 。。。more

I listened to this audiobook。 The gentleman narrating the part for Brooklyn had the most comic voice!Brooklyn and Cormac had a huge misunderstanding。 Brooklyn thought Cormac betrayed her during her high school years。 This caused a lot of hatred for Brooklyn。These two had a most unusual request come their way。 It resulted in them facing their failings so that they could build a great relationship。I loved this sweet story。

Jessie Gussman has a way of writing a “romance” book and make me feel like she’s sending me messages I need from God。 Lessons in faith, relationships especially with Him and life lessons。 The entire time I’m being entertained and focused on the story。 Cormac and Brooklyn have a history that goes way back。 Probably not a history anyone else would want but a history。 Not a likely couple or were they? I really loved this book, lessons and all。

This is a great story of reconciliation and needing to make sure we really know the truth before we say someone is against us。 Such a sweet reconciliation between these 2 who have had a feud for so long。 Cormac is willed his good friend's daughter and a horse but she has a co-parent, Brooklyn, who can't stand him。 These 2 put aside their personal preferences to provide a home for this lonely orphan and in the process reconcile。 This is a great story of reconciliation and needing to make sure we really know the truth before we say someone is against us。 Such a sweet reconciliation between these 2 who have had a feud for so long。 Cormac is willed his good friend's daughter and a horse but she has a co-parent, Brooklyn, who can't stand him。 These 2 put aside their personal preferences to provide a home for this lonely orphan and in the process reconcile。 。。。more

This is an interesting twist on enemies to more。 Brooklyn has held a grudge against Cormac since high school for something he did not do。 It was nice to see how they worked together to resolve the past and more forward。

Even though this is a series, you can read it as a standalone。 However, you may learn about previous storylines by reading them out of order。 This is the story of two people estranged since high-school who are forced to put aside their differences for the sake of a child。 I liked the way Brooklyn came to see that most of the anger was one sided and that she enjoyed blaming Cormac and looking for the worst in him。 She was mature enough to acknowledge it, recognizing that she was not being like Ch Even though this is a series, you can read it as a standalone。 However, you may learn about previous storylines by reading them out of order。 This is the story of two people estranged since high-school who are forced to put aside their differences for the sake of a child。 I liked the way Brooklyn came to see that most of the anger was one sided and that she enjoyed blaming Cormac and looking for the worst in him。 She was mature enough to acknowledge it, recognizing that she was not being like Christ, and was willing to change。 He was patient and tried to understand her issues。 I loved this story and did not want this story to end! I was so caught up in all the action near the end that I was surprised to find that I had finished the book。 This story could use an epilogue, but I feel like there's enough for a sequel, which I would definitely read!I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest opinion。 。。。more

This was an enjoyable book to read。 It is set in a small town setting where everyone knows everybody and what they think is best for them。 I also think it had just the right amount of scenes where the characters talked about their faith and how it helped them traverse through life。

Good read! This story just flows and the conversations are so real。 If you are looking for a sweet, clean, inspirational story that is easy and fun to read this is it。 You will love Jessie Gussman’s writing style!

Inspirational! I didn’t want the book to end。 The author has a knack for putting her characters into uncomfortable situations and helping them to grow into better people as the book progresses。 Brooklyn had many fine qualities but she had held a grudge against Cormac for years and this book deals with forgiveness。 I was both entertained and challenged in the best way。 I received an ARC and this voluntary review contains my honest opinions。

This was such a sweet, Christian romance。  It was fun to see how Brooklyn and Cormac, with God's help and plans, were able to overcome their being enemies。  I enjoyed the story and liked how faith brought the two characters together in a most unusual way。  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review。 This was such a sweet, Christian romance。  It was fun to see how Brooklyn and Cormac, with God's help and plans, were able to overcome their being enemies。  I enjoyed the story and liked how faith brought the two characters together in a most unusual way。  I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review。 。。。more

Just a Cowboy’s Enemy Jessie has brought another winner to her readers! This is a book of faith and forgiveness。 Cormac and Brooklyn have been sworn enemies since they were in school years earlier。 Now they get the surprise of their lives when they find they must share custody of an orphaned child。 Will they be able to work their differences out for the sake of the child?

Sandy

Cormac and BrooklynI must say that the hero and heroine have a bit of a tangle to get through。 Can Brooklyn come to terms with what happened in high school? It takes some doing and some brilliant writing to have Cormac and Brooklyn sit down and come to a meeting of the mind。 They had a child’s welfare to consider。 This was a beautiful faith based story it is a 10 plus star rating for me! I did receive a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review it。

Really Great Christian Series I'd been waiting for Cormac and Brooklyn to get their story and it didn't disappoint。 These two were so meant to be together it just took extenuating circumstances to get them to see it。 I love how the book shows how God works in all our lives。 A really good christain series。  Really Great Christian Series I'd been waiting for Cormac and Brooklyn to get their story and it didn't disappoint。 These two were so meant to be together it just took extenuating circumstances to get them to see it。 I love how the book shows how God works in all our lives。 A really good christain series。  。。。more

Another wonderful story that has great characters。 Each story can be read as a stand alone story although there are characters that carry over from book to book。What will happen when these two sworn enemies are given joint custody of a little girl that has just lost her parents?Cormac Henderson and Brooklyn both receive a letter from the father of a young girl。 His wife had died a few years before and he was facing his own death。 He had chosen Cormac to take care of his daughter and his wife had Another wonderful story that has great characters。 Each story can be read as a stand alone story although there are characters that carry over from book to book。What will happen when these two sworn enemies are given joint custody of a little girl that has just lost her parents?Cormac Henderson and Brooklyn both receive a letter from the father of a young girl。 His wife had died a few years before and he was facing his own death。 He had chosen Cormac to take care of his daughter and his wife had chosen her college friend Brooklyn。 They have no idea who the other person was that was chosen to be the guardian。 Cormac and Brooklyn have avoided any type of conversation for years。 The people in town love to throw them together just to see the sparks fly。 They have been enemies since something happened in High School and Cormac doesn't even know what he did to make Brooklyn upset。 Brooklyn believes that Cormac did something that humiliated her causing the other students to mock her。 Since he never showed any remorse and didn't apologize, she never had a kind word to say to him。When they discover they have joint custody, they will finally have to discuss their past disagreement and make some decisions on how they will work together to help a hurting young child。This story is filled with lots of spiritual insight in selflessness and letting the Lord lead you。 Some very good words of wisdom shared between these former enemies。 They may just discover that even though there was a difficult situation in their past they kept them apart, God's timing is perfect。I received as copy of this book from the author and this is my honest unbiased review。 。。。more

Cormac and Brooklyn’s story is a sweet, inspiring enemies to lovers romance。 Neither has been friendly or approachable to the other for over a decade, but the well-being of a young girl changes everything between them。 Rumours and hurt feelings turned their crush on each other into to a dislike that has lasted over a decade。 They have done their best to keep their distance from each other, but the townspeople have seen the sparks between them and keep putting them together for town events。 Their Cormac and Brooklyn’s story is a sweet, inspiring enemies to lovers romance。 Neither has been friendly or approachable to the other for over a decade, but the well-being of a young girl changes everything between them。 Rumours and hurt feelings turned their crush on each other into to a dislike that has lasted over a decade。 They have done their best to keep their distance from each other, but the townspeople have seen the sparks between them and keep putting them together for town events。 Their discord doesn’t lessen until they both are named guardian of a young girl, Quinn, after the death of her parents。 Cormac and Brooklyn ask God for guidance and decide together to put the past hurts behind them in order to be a united and stable team for Quinn。 They believe that a marriage of convenience would be the best course of action so that the three of them can live together as a family。 After airing their grievances and making decisions as to what is best for Quinn, Cormac and Brooklyn discover what everyone else has known for quite awhile。 They don’t dislike each other at all, rather all those old feelings of love and attraction were buried under the hurt。 The characters and the small town values and support make this book very engaging and entertaining。 I received an ARC of this book and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review。 。。。more

Brooklyn has had dislike for Cormac since High school due to something she thinks he said back then。 Cormac has dislike for her because of how she acts around him。 Now, they are given joint custody of a little girl and have to find a way to make peace with each other to give her the best life possible。 I loved this story。 It’s a reminder that what we think or feel is not always truth and what can happen when we take the time to talk through the things that we allow to offend us。
